Multiconductor Transmission-Line Characterization: Representations, Approximations, and Accuracy - Microwave Theory and Techniques, IEEE Transactions on
This paper investigates a measurement method that characterizes lossy printed multiconductor transmission lines, its accuracy, the choice of measurement representations, and some simple approximations. We illustrate the method with measurements of a pair of lossy coupled asymmetric microstrip lines.
متن کاملSensitivity Analysis in Multiconductor Transmission Line Networks
The paper deals with a technique of sensitivity calculation in linear hybrid networks containing elements with both lumped and distributed parameters when the multiconductor transmission lines (MTL) are considered as the distributed parts. The technique utilizes the modified nodal analysis (MNA) method to do overall description of the network enabling determining sensitivities with respect to b...
متن کاملRecovering Lossy Multiconductor Transmission Line Parameters From Impedance or Scattering Representations
In this paper, we present a generalization of the simultaneous diagonalization technique by means of congruence transformations to the general reciprocal lossy multiconductor transmission line case. The method paves the way to solving the inverse problem, i.e., given a lossy multiconductor transmission line system of a given length, recover the transmission line parameters from the impedance or...
متن کاملAnalysis of Time Response of Lossy Multiconductor Transmission Line Networks
Systems are considered consisting of an arbitrary number of multiconductor transmission lines joined and terminated by arbitrary linear networks. The fines are assumed to be Iossy, with frequency-dependent parameters. The system is analyzed in the frequency domain, and the inverse Fourier transform is used to obtain tbe time-domain response.
متن کاملMulticonductor Transmission-line Theory in the TEM Approximation
Starting with Maxwell's equations, the transmission line equations are derived for a system consisting of an arbitrary number of conductors. The derivation is rigorous for long lossless conductors embedded in a uniform perfect dielectric. The presentation is essentially tutorial, most of the results being well known, at least for twoand three-conductor systems. The novelty lies in the point of ...
